About Our Founder

Rakesha Glenn is the quintessential multi-hyphenate. As the Founder of Noire Phoenixx and Editor in Chief of IDLEWILD Multimedia, she has unequivocally allowed her multidisciplinary background within the arts to be her foundational source for every venture she has touched.

Originally from Winston-Salem, NC, her childhood background of participating within different programs within the arts evolved into later pursuance’s that included an accessories brand and freelanced brand management skills.  In every venture that Rakesha has pursued over the course of her 14 year entrepreneurial journey, she has left a unique and creative mark on each idea along with those across the country who have supported each endeavor.

To continue to serve her purpose fused with passion, Rakesha recently returned to college to complete her BA in History w/ a concentration in Africana Diaspora. She views this as a much-needed addition to continue the work she has planned for every venture she’ll pursue. She lives by two mottos: “Passion Fuels Purpose” and “Evolution is Infinite”. Rakesha is currently a resident of Greensboro, NC, a mother of three and enjoys quiet days in nature, reading books and tending to her  plants and growing garden.
